About Us
As a private, licensed non-profit, Saint Agnes Child Development Center has taught, nurtured and supported thousands of families for over 40 years. From Infants to Pre-Kindergarten (6-weeks to 6 years old), our unique programs are specially designed to expand children's intellect, creativity, social skills and problem-solving capabilities. With an experienced staff of childcare professionals, some of whom have been teaching at the Center for over twenty years, parents can trust that their little ones are in the most capable and caring hands. The Center offers a discovery-oriented and hands-on educational program – developed and supervised by our highly educated and professional teachers.
Philosophy
Discovery-Oriented, Hands-On Approach: Children are allowed to explore in areas that are of interest to them. Our teachers play close attention to these explorations and build a curriculum centered around these interests and that meet their stage and abilities in development.
Learning in a Natural World: Being engaged and connected with the natural world is essential for children's learning. The Outdoor Classroom is a key component to our curriculum, giving children the time and place to enjoy the outdoors.
Whole-Child Approach: Learning happens in various shapes and forms. We care about all parts of development such as reading, math and science but also feelings and friendships. All of these skills are essential for optimal learning.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of your little one is our top priority. We maintain safety protocols through our locked facility with on-site security and regular safety drills. We provide a clean environment for children to learn and play, through daily classroom cleanings. Our staff is trained in CPR and first aid to be prepared in the event of an emergency.
Additionally, we focus on promoting healthy habits among children, including personal hygiene, nutrition education and physical activity, to support their overall well-being. We believe that a safe space enhances learning and allows children to flourish.
